Our Story

With over 13 years in Colorectal Nursing and 10 years as a Stomal Therapy Nurse Amanda McGee developed Stoma Care Services to provide specialised care to those living with a stoma. An individual service that delivers a high level of care and consultations in private rooms or in the home.

OUR STOMAL THERAPY NURSE - AMANDA

Amanda completing her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of South Australia in 2009, commencing her nursing career at Calvary Wakefield Hospital working across many nursing fields until she found a special interest in colorectal nursing.

In 2012, Amanda completed her Stomal Therapy Nursing Certificate and has worked as a Stomal Therapy Nurse since. Joining the Colorectal Surgery in 2017.

Amanda provides pre and post-operative care to patients that experience stomal surgery, reviews patients that experience any concerns with their stoma and also provides wound reviews and wound management.

Weekly she runs the Stomal Therapy Clinic at the Ostomy Association of South Australia and the Ileostomy Association of South Australia. Recently also establishing regional clinics. 

Amanda is currently the South Australian State President of the Australian Association Stomal Therapy Nurses and is also an active member of the Continence Foundation of Australia South Australian branch.
